Disney Plus: Why We Buy Into Nostalgia
Logging into Disney Plus for the first time last weekend was even more magical than I had expected. It was like I teleported back into the ‘90s and got to relive my most cherished childhood memories. And I loved every minute of it.
I spent most of the time browsing through making sure that they had all of my favourites. And they did indeed. I was greeted by all my childhood pals — Buzz, Lightning McQueen, Simba, even my boy Huck Finn.
It was the most nostalgic I’ve felt in a long, long time. So many great memories came back to me — hanging with my cousins in my grandmother’s basement, just binge watching all of these classics. For that Sunday afternoon, I was six years old again.
